Lamella Clarifiers

Lamella clarifier blocks are used as classifiers and separators in industrial and municipal water treatment plants. Industrial effluent and sewage are processed and purified using polymer flocculants that precipitate sedimentable particles within the lamella structure. Arengo lamella blocks feature a honeycomb structure inclined at 55° to 60°. Effluent mixed with flocculant enters the lamella blocks from the base. As the liquid flows upward through the inclined channels, solids settle onto the inclined surfaces and slide to the bottom as they accumulate. The clarified liquid exits at the top, ready for reuse or further treatment.
